Introducing the new Ker 46 – Zannekin which has just hit the water in Hong Kong.
Part of the Ker
Yacht Design stable Zannekin is a
light displacement, high performance racing yacht built by McConaghy boats in
their China production facility. With an all carbon structure she has plan
approval to ISO Category A standards by Germanischer Lloyd. Built to
McConaghy’s uncompromising standards, using vacuum consolidated carbon/epoxy
foam sandwich throughout, with uni-directional fibre reinforcement and
lightweight sandwich composites for non-structural components, Zannekin has been designed and built to perform
and more importantly to win races under IRC, ORCi handicap system.
With a
high-modulus two spreader carbon mast and carbon boom constructed without
compromise from the Halls Spars New Zealand team she combines an extremely high
level of design performance history in a balanced, easily driven,
high-performance racing yacht with a proven regatta pedigree. So look out for Zannekin on the regatta circuit in the
near future – she will be the one to try and beat!
