Hall NZ supplies masts and rigging to new Dubois50s in China

An exciting contract for Hall Spars NZ has been the supply of masts and rigging to a new fleet of Dubois50s based in Hainan, China. The 15m performance design was developed by naval architect Ed Dubois specifically to suit the Round Hainan Regatta, with models being built by Chinese shipyard Farnova Yachts based in Shenzen.

Having delivered masts and rigging to three new yachts that were completed in time to compete in the sixth edition of this increasingly popular race, we have further orders placed for later this year. We look forward to continuing our work with Farnova Yachts as they build more of these fast performance yachts.

Anarchy (YD37) launched

One new launch that has been getting plenty of hype – and rightly so – is the 37ft performance racer Anarchy, designed by Bakewell-White Yacht Design and launched by Yachting Developments.

Built for her Kiwi owner, Anarchy drew together the talents of a number of New Zealand companies and we were delighted to be involved in supplying the high modulus carbon mast and rigging to the new build.

Designed to be light and fast on the water, after making her debut at the Jack Tar Auckland Regatta Anarchy has many more races ahead of her including the SSANZ ANZAC 200.

Watch this video from the good folk at LiveSail.com more ia closer look at her launch:

Crusader wins the 2015 Crewed Central Triangle Race

The recent 2015 Crewed Central Triangle Race saw some fierce competition, with the narrowest of gaps between the Elliott35ss Crusader and the Shaw Blink - which both feature Hall-made spars - throughout all three legs.

In the end victory went to Crusader, which took overall line hinours and the series win on PHRF and IRC. Congratulations to the owners and crew of Crusader and Blink for such consistent performances throughout.
